The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship for World Leaders is awarded to international students entering any of the University’s divisions for the first time. Applicants must have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent and must be involved in activities that demonstrate leadership.
Awards and Financial Aids
The Awards and Financial Aid Office distributes over $6 million in scholarships, awards, and bursaries and roughly $20 million in annual government student aid to assist students with education costs. Entrance scholarships range in value from $100 – $24,000 each. Also, the University also administers nearly $9 million in annual assistance from the Manitoba Student Aid Program. However, the Winnipeg President’s Scholarships for World Leaders offers $5,000.
To be able to qualify for the Winnipeg President’s Scholarship Scheme applicants are to fit into the laid down categories. That is to say, you must possess these criteria before the scholarship is given to you.
- Applicants must be an international student applying to the University of Winnipeg to study any course of choice;
- You must demonstrate that you have exceptional leadership skills, find a way to let the scheme know when applying. That is, if you have held any leadership role in the past, the scholarship scheme should know about it;
- Have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent to qualify;
- Lastly, you must submit your application before the deadline of the application.
